All my life I’ve been living with this. Whenever it’s time to make a choice, to make a decision, to choose brand A over brand B, almost always I choose the wrong one. When I buy a record, after careful deliberation, I buy the one that will go on a shelf and pick up dust, the one that my friends see and they make that face, the *shudder* / oh my GOD / yuck face. The face where they feel kinda sorry for me. At work …

This morning at the office : surprise! We had a little visit from Dark Santa’s Evil Elves. All our machines are gone, some disks, some toys, scanners, printers, all the shit. They even took all the power bars! Oh and backups, too. Vive les laptops, mine’s all that’s left of poor poor Mister Edgar.

Just left the ol’heavy monitors.

I’m being philosophical about it (you know, loss, having stuff, losing stuff, stuff you own ends up owning you, nobody’s dead, it’s all a river of tears anyways, etc.), and this just adds to the shit pile that was 2005.
